Bruce Fador is the founder and managing partner of Fador Global Consulting Group, a consulting and advisory firm helping companies develop and execute strategies that accelerate their next growth phase.
Fador leverages his 30 years of experience in leadership and senior operational positions in services-focused firms to deliver unmatched results for his clients. Fador’s industry experience spans market data providers, private equity firms, industry research companies, and FinTech start-ups.
Before devoting complete focus and energy to FGCG, Fador held several chief executive officer positions, serving as CEO of Thomson First Call. Under his leadership and guidance, Thomson First Call’s core revenues soared from $18M to $120M. Fador later built strategic alliances within other Thomson divisions, driving an additional $80M in revenue.
As Fador transitioned into the CEO and president roles of WorldStreet, an innovative FinTech start-up, success followed. Fador spearheaded successful funding efforts, raising $57M from both venture and strategic investors, and oversaw the sale of its assets to Thomson Financial.
Following the sale of WorldStreet, Fador stepped in as CEO of Weiss Ratings, helming new product development distribution efforts, again increasing revenues. Thanks to Fador’s in-depth industry expertise, Weiss Ratings saw a drastic revenue boost from $1M to $7M, overseeing the company’s later acquisition by TheStreet.com.
Now a trailblazer in his own right, Fador accepted a CEO position at the mutual fund market research firm Financial Research Corp. (FRC). There, Fador recast the company’s service offerings and distribution channels, rebuilt the management team, and added stability for its revenue streams.
Fador’s senior operational roles include serving as the president and COO of Decision Resources, where he doubled sales revenues in the financial vertical. As a part of FGCG's Interim Management Service, he served as president and COO of Wall Street Horizon, a provider of alternative market data. In that role, he led efforts that doubled revenues while forming strategic partnerships with several major trading platforms.
Throughout his career, Fador has also served as a Board member, strategic advisor, or consultant to numerous leading capital markets, research, and FinTech firms.
Fador is a Boston College graduate and later participated in the Insead Executive Management program in Fontainebleau, France. Today, Fador and his wife live in Winchester, Massachusetts. Their children and grandchildren also live nearby in the Boston area.
